i dig hot and beautiful women (inside out), ladies who are classy and poise.
i am still taking in love pills, predicted to be an ongoing lifetime 'need'.
i am content with God's gift: a family, true love, true friends.
Tuesday, November 04, 2008, Last sem of FINAL YEAR @ 6:26 PM
so yes. i have started my last semester in my final year. how time flies with a blink of an eye. i myself couldnt accept the fact that i am at my last lap to the end of my diploma. i felt it was just months ago i had accepted to take this course. okae abit exaggerating i know. haha.
oh wells, how was my first day? so it sounds like a journal huh telling how was ur first day in school, hmmm, back to school. mine was pretty good so far. but it doesnt start pretty well as i am having cough and flu. and still having. with tissues and vicks as my saviour. i hope this goes off soon. this final semester, i am having lessons everyday. im kinda not used to it after 3 semester of having wednesday off. reason being, i took up additional module. which is calculus. considering to withdraw it or not. but lets see how it goes first. measuring the pros and cons to withdraw from this module can be quite tedious.
lecturers for this sem so far was all good. as usual, you will expect at least one monotonous lecturer. its kinda boring but come on face it. we even have lecturers who taught us for first sem first yr and now last sem, final yr. and they claimed that we have grown so much, maturing.
i guess its in our culture that doesnt make us aware of big mega issues that will affect us. and so this brings me to the topic of recession that is happening today. it was an informative lesson for me just now. as now, i know the reason of the recession. why this rippling effect by just an increase in property market prices. what lead to Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and also what lead to AIG in the brim of bankruptcy. so now i see why the world was adversely affected by all this. its scary, freaking scary. but lessons learnt, greed ruled the day ppl. which i totally agree to.
she was also sharing with us the story of 'tulip craze'. believe it or not, ppl bought tulip bulbs for almost more that $150 000 in the past which now has a value of less than $1.80. how crazy ppl can get? but ppl, this is true. they even mortgage their own houses to just get this tulip bulbs. as crazy as it sounds, believe me, i myself was shocked upon reading the fact. but it actually happened.
so whats e difference between this two economic downturn situation? the votality of the economic situation now is across all borders. it had this rippling effect that affects practically everyone even from the non-financial institution. scary shit. as for the tulip craze, it affects just the country.
us living here, we are self centered. for instance, for students, we care about exams, projects deadlines, getting the certificate. what to study and whats not. the working generation will only care of their salary, credit cards, getting the first condo. so its in the culture. so now when this things happened, it sets us thinking. well it did make me think, how about you?
lets hope the future will not be as bad as it was perceived. insya-allah. :D
